About

Pocket Offline started as a shared note between three friends who kept asking each other the same question: what can I actually play when there's no wifi? We got tired of download pages that promised offline play and then begged for a connection on the first screen. So we began testing games ourselves and writing down what really worked.

The editorial side is small on purpose. We install a game, play it through a real chunk, turn off mobile data to check it survives, and only then sit down to write. If a game nags for a login or quietly stops working in airplane mode, we say so clearly.

We pick titles across genres — role-playing, strategy, racing, puzzles, simulators — because people want variety on a long trip, not ten versions of the same thing. Popularity helps a game get noticed, but it never guarantees a good review here.

Nobody pays us to like a game. When something frustrates us, we write that down too, because a short honest paragraph is worth more than a glowing wall of adjectives.
