Greenwild Farmstead

Greenwild Farmstead is the comfort game of this list. You inherit an overgrown plot and slowly turn it into something lovely — planting crops, fixing fences, befriending a sleepy town. There are no energy timers forcing you off, which is rare and very welcome.

Days pass as you work, and the loop of planting, tending and selling is quietly addictive. I liked that the game respects offline play completely; my progress was always there when I came back, no connection required.

It's not trying to be ambitious. It's trying to be relaxing, and it succeeds. A great end-of-day phone game.
